Beverly is the company’s lawyer and helps ensure that Red Rock’s productions are on firm legal footing, by providing legal review of programs and footage, drafting and reviewing production-related contracts, releases and other documents, and working with international attorneys. She also assists Red Rock in addressing copyright, trademark, defamation, FOIA, insurance, employment and other matters, as needed.
Beverly is the founder of Davis Law, PLLC, a Washington, DC-based entertainment law firm, and brings over 20 years of diverse legal experience to bear on her work with Red Rock Films. Prior to joining the Red Rock team, she worked as senior in-house counsel with National Public Radio (NPR) where she handled matters involving the network’s domestic- and internationally-based journalists, hosts, employees, freelancers, fixers, and labor unions (SAG-AFTRA and NABET). She also served as senior in-house counsel with Southwest Airlines, as a litigator in “big law,” and as a staff attorney with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Beverly is licensed to practice in California, the District of Columbia, Maryland, New York and Texas (Hook ‘Em Horns!).
